GRAN TORINO: Estreia da Semana
Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) é um veterano da guerra da Coreia, um homem insensível e amargo. Vive sózinho com a sua cadela Daisy, e só confia na sua arma.
Os seus vizinhos foram morrendo ou mudaram-se e agora o bairro é habitado por imigrantes asiáticos, o que o deixa muito furioso, mostrando uma constante atitude racista.
Certo dia Thao, um dos seus jovens vizinhos, é forçado por um gangue a roubar o Ford Gran Torino de Walt, mas este consegue impedir o roubo e quase o mata, tornando-se assim o herói do bairro.
Como forma de agradecimento, por Walt ter poupado a vida ao jovem, a família de Thao obriga-o a trabalhando para o vizinho e Walt obriga-o a fazer pequenos trabalhos comunitários.
Inesperadamente dá-se o início de uma grande amizade, que mudará o rumo das suas vidas. E, graças a Thao, Walt vai conhecer verdadeiramente os seus vizinhos e descobrir o que o liga a estes emigrantes.
